Nancy Pelosi wanted money, and she wasn’t going to take no for an answer.
In a recent conference call with other top House Democrats, Pelosi announced she was giving another $150,000 from her campaign war chest to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She pressured her onetime rival, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, to match her donation. There was a long silence, but Hoyer coughed it up. “You’re a very expensive date, Nancy,” Hoyer grudgingly joked, according to those on the call.

Since losing the speaker’s gavel in January, Pelosi has engaged in a frantic effort to win back the House. As minority leader, she has made hundreds of fundraising appearances over that period — 331 events by last count — helping the DCCC to take a lead in its money battle with House Republicans, a remarkable feat for the minority party. Her haul so far this cycle: more than $26 million for the DCCC, Democratic incumbents and challengers. This compares with the $18 million-plus raised by Pelosi during the “off years” of 2007 and 2009.

I wonder how much of that money is dirty or unethical, like from the other story you seeded
I wonder how much of it isn't.
My mind is blown how you could seed both stories
Why? They are two different stories about two different topics. Money is involved in everything but that doesn't mean everything is linked.
Welcome to NewsVine.
Have you even bothered to read each article?
In the very first paragraph of the other story where you claim I ignore Pelosi:
Last night on a CBS 60 Minutes report, Pelosi, along with John Boehner and a Republican representative from Alabama, were accused of "soft" graft — gaining unethically but not illegally from insider knowledge,
Nothing got ignored, you have to use your eyes and read the articles before you make silly comments and accusations. Again, one is about her being successful at raising money for the democratic party, which she is. The other is about congress being able to bet the stock market. Two different topics.
I'm done with the conversation now. Please comment on one topic or the other, in the corresponding seed.
Yep, Pelosi was one of the best Speakers of the House (from either party) since Tip O'Neil.
Can't wait for her to get the gavel back from the worthless Boehner.

Agreed. It would be nice to have house that actually wants to accomplish something again.

To use the Pelosi name in the same sentence with Tip O'Neil is just not right. O'Neil was a true statesman.

jmorris, I whole heartedly agree with your statement. I felt quite comfortable with Ms. Pelosi being 3rd in line for the Presidency. I can't say the same about Boner.

Hmm doesn't she have a job to do ? Or is campaigning her full time job now?

So Michelle Bachmann is a whore as well? Or Sarah Palin?
Neither of whom seem to show up very much for the positions they were elected to, either.
Mrs. Peolis is at least around to vote when she needs to. (And yes, I know half-term Sarah is no longer in any public office other than in the making a buck biz.)
