Glenn Beck-Hawked Goldline International Charged With Theft And Fraud

Goldline International has made a name for themselves by hiring such celebrities as Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin and, of course, Glenn Beck (all right here on the Goldline webpage) to promote their “services.” Notice the lack of liberals. Now, however, Goldline is facing 19 criminal charges.

How to scam stupid people out of their money:

Step one: Convince them that the apocalypse is about to occur and that all of their money will be worthless. Use conservative talking heads lacking in ethics and morals.

Step two: Once your marks are good and terrified, tell them that the only way to survive is to buy a valuable commodity that will become more valuable after the coming global collapse like, for instance, gold.

Step three: Sell the said commodity at a grossly inflated price in a worthless form like, for instance, gold coins.

And just in case some brave but misguided soul decides to claim that Glenn Beck never pushed gold coins himself, please, do me a favor and shut the hell up. He knew exactly what he was doing unless he was lying about buying gold coins himself. Either way, he’s a dishonest sleaze, trusted by millions of the weak minded and gullible.

I'm a coin collector (numismatist) and there is noooo way that I would even consider buying coins from a place that's praised by Beck, Hannity, or Laura whatshername.

I went to the website posted and all they do is sell gold coins. Anyone with a lick of sense could see that coins were what they were pushing.

hen I see any gold ads, usually the so-called 'commemorative' ones, they are simply coated but the total content is listed in g or mg. When I do the math for how much(in reality, little) the gold is actually worth,it usually ends up at-some obnoxious price/oz. They also use pressure sales to make them seem more valuable. I would never but the TV-ad driven coins.

All that I have ever really kept is the wheat back pennies, just for fun. I find it interesting to think about how much those pennies have been through historically. My oldest is 1913,but it is badly worn. A 1919 is in fair shape. Most from the 40's. I have at least a few from every decade which they were made. I can't remember if they started in 1908,09,or 10.

You cannot eat gold ... therefore it is worthless .... ask anyone who produces food and who is hungry.

Don't look now but that's most humans on this planet!!

The hot air balloon makers are already moving out of gold now that real estate is "dirt" cheap ....

meanwhile small investors should be prepared to get the shaft once again .. since the GOTP and the corpocracy loves to double dip!

stocks are worthless btw .. so "forget about it!" as Hoffa would say

I really am saddened by all the con men who continue to be able to fleece the gullible out of their hard earned wages through the promise of security.

Still if the ignorant want to continue to believe that people like Glenn Beck and his other con men for the right wing shill machine are the ones to listen too ?? Well they get what they get.

They will still defend the stupidity because to not defend it makes them look stupid. And one thing that is more important to them thanmoney is their pride that they are always right, so it will be a liberal plot that made them do it. LOL

Lets see: gold, 401k's, real estate, stocks and bonds, work being sent to the lowest bidders whether the work is acceptable or not, ... Yep the stupidity continues as more and more people are left without anything of monetary value.

Beckerheads you got what ya deserved :~(( :~(( Learn from it and get away from the stupidity.

Whenever a con game, greed, deceit and dishonesty arises, it always always always turns out to be a right winger. So you get a bunch of criminals like Beck who realize that their flock is rather stupid and fleeces them constantly. Beck and his immoral pals spin lies right and left and get their flock to vote for continued and usually upgraded ways to become fleeced.

As opposed to those who try to say that Obama started the Iraq invasion and Bush protected us on 9/11.

the Greeks, The Europeans as a whole.

Talk to the folks at Wall Street about that one, as well. The Dow took a few hits just this week that were stated by analysts that don't work for Obama as being caused by concerns about Greece and the Euro.

The earthquake in Japan and the subsequent tsunami and congress.

I seem to remember some of the Religious Reich folks ( you know, the ones who hate Obama ) trying to refer to that as God's punishment, but nothing from the White House regarding the effects of the disaster here that didn't fit basic, common-sense economic reality.

As far as hawking gold goes, there are progressive (left wing) radio stations that hawk gold also. I don't trust any of them.

And as Coral Atlas said above "you can't eat gold" To which I'd like to add that you can't wear it, shelter under it, or put it in your gas tank. If the world economy completely breaks down, what good is a precious metal? Your currency will most likely be water, food, and bullets.

TYVM demmy. I also looked it up and found some info. One that I do have,I could have sworn read 1908,but it can't be. It is obviously very badly worn :(

It could be 1918 or 1909. Third # did appear to be a 0. I'll have to get it out and look at it again. Now with reading glasses needed, why is the print on everything getting so %^^% small?

I don't really care about the value, just history like I said. How much can a penny really be worth IMO? At least a wheatback? lol Only as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Do I hear 3 cents? 3 cents? Anybody? lol

Ok lefties, Besides your hatred for the talking heads listed here, what exactly is the connection you are trying to make?

These guys have radio shows.. The Company PAID THEM to read a script promoting the Company. Every single radio show does this.. Left leaning, right leaning, gutter trash leaning, it does not matter. The Company buys the time, and pays them to say good things about them.

So again, exactly what are you trying to say.. The above mentioned guys are trash because a company that paid to advertise on their program, somehow links them to the success or downfall of the business?

Wouldn't that kind of be like linking Obama Administration to the failed Solar company? Here I thought I have seen the bottom of the barrel with lefties not making sense.. This is a new low.

Here's the thing though, if you are a "talking head" "pundit" "radio personality" or whatever else you wish to call it, and you, yourself, do the commercials, it might behoove you to figure out whether they're on the up and up or not. If not, you risk associating yourself, your voice, and your name with a bad company or product.

The Fast majority of these talking heads, do not get to control what commericals they air. It is all done through the marketing department of the raido station. Im not defending Beck ( I havent ever listen to his show ) but the dots most of you are trying to connect just do not exist outside of your fantasy world. It makes ZERO sense in the real world.

A person like Beck can choose whether or not to hawk a certain company using his own voice on his own show. If you've got enough pull to have your own show, you certainly have enough pull to decide which sponsors you wish to have, and if not, you have enough pull to not have to use your own voice to promote them. I have listened to his show and all of the spots for this place were done in his own voice in a conversational tone directed at his listeners as if he himself supported and backed this company.

Are going to condemn ed Schultz for hawking for Goldline? He did spots on his show, in his own voice for them. How about Randi Rhodes. She has too.

I know I have posted and asked this before. Unfortunately the left here seems to ignore the fact that goldline is a company that sponsored many shows on radio, both on the left and right. While they are over eager to condemn right wing hosts they seemingly give a pass to left swingers that di the exact same thing. I bring up Rhodes and Schultz only because those are the ones on left wing radio that I actual heard do commercials for the company. I am sure there must be others but for the most part I don't listen to to lefty radio in order to keep my sanity.

I have never heard of these before. Hilarious. However, I can definitely see Beck jumping up and down in his rapture shoes while still hawking the gold coins. His message: believe in Beck, believe in Beck, believe in Beck. Buy the coins, buy the rapture shoes, buy both for 19.99 and if you call in in the next 30 minutes you will receive, not one, not two but THREE pairs of rapture shoes and an extra gold coin. There's one thing I've never quite understood about the reich-wing's obsession with gold...

Beck and Hannity, et al, get paid to hawk this gold to their listeners & veiwers. They tell them that gold is the ultimate investment for when the system collapses, or for when the world stops spinning, for whatever. But I thought their target demographic were reich-wing hillbillies who, for the most part, considered themselves christians.

When the world ends, why would they need gold? Don't they believe that they're going to be raptured away to heaven?

    Does heaven have a cover-charge?

Gold is no longer the real "hedge" it used to be, you can't sell it in a disaster,

Kind of right Keepfree... Kind of ..!

nobody needs it, it isn't valid currency,

Again kind of right ! Valid Currency, really is anything that someone will accept for payment...

Gold is a way of insuring your money against inflation against other World currencies ....And the idea is not to sell it in the disaster...but to sheild your money with something of value.

Old pre 1964 Silver quarters and dimes would truly be the barter currency ...While Gold would be the savings currency... or major item (large item) currency!

You ever heard of the ...

    Weimar Republic ....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weimar_Republic

    Zimbabawa ....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperinflation_in_Zimbabwe

You do understand that the entire time that those with GOLD could exchange it for any World currency ....Right! If I have an OZ of Gold it has a value on the world market... Its not I can sell it and get payed in any currency I choose...

Translation if I own gold and the Yuan (am example) is valuable, I can sell at that currencies exchange rate Then if I want to exchange that currency into the currency I live in ( I made/saved a ton of money) ...

Ask George Soros he made $7.2 Billion this past year doing just that...

Here is a question I want some Progressive to answer ...

Why when George Soros is buying Gold is it the right thing to do But when Beck does the same thing its wrong and you or I are morons to do it ....?

What is George Soros up to in the gold market? “It is the ultimate asset bubble.”

    http://news.goldseek.com/GoldSeek/1280171607.php

    Or ...

Soros fund adds to holdings of gold, Delta

    //www.marketwatch.com/story/soros-fund-adds-to-holdings-of-gold-delta-2011-02-14

George Soros’ gold ownership is a classic hedge

he hubbub started when hedge fund guru George Soros proclaimed Gold to be in a bubble, and it is still roiling nearly six months later. Gold advocates jumped to its defense, while critics took the offensive.

Humm A way to drive the price down...Maybe?

As it turns out though, Soros was not really issuing a warning so much as he was explaining why he was making a considerable investment in gold bullion. Only days after calling gold the “ultimate asset bubble,” the financial press reported Soros had doubled his holdings of physical metal.

Case of the Good Progressive telling you how bad something is as they do it themselves?

    http://www.commodityonline.com/news/George-Soros-gold-ownership-is-a-classic-hedge-30426-3-1.html

They know their investment is INSURED, because it is not tied to any one currency but to the Worlds economy!

My mother's parents started a "victory garden" on their back patio during WWII. They grew mostly tomatoes, which they made into INCREDIBLE sauce, and a few other things.

Since they've passed my parents took up the hobby in their backyard. They have a garden of about 500 sq ft, where they grow their own potatoes, carrots, turnips, tomatoes, and sunflowers (for seeds). Nothing is better than dinner with fresh vegetables that were still in the ground half an hour before.

And time spent in the garden with family is time NOT spent in front of a TV or radio being force-fed fear.

    Garden > Gold

do away with valueless symbols of wealth like gold and diamonds and stocks and bonds .. and use items of real value to measure our progress as human beings .... what we grow and make - what comes from nature - organic value --

This goes right along with the "food insurance". If society collapses, and you refuse to pay out the "food insurance" premium I bought, who am I going to tell? The police - that no longer exist?

In case following the link is too onerous, food insurance consists of buying actual food that is stored in your own house. The link above has products that have a twenty year shelf life.

Food Insurance? No thanks. If the world ends I'm heading down to the Twinkie factory in Natick. Those things last forever.

    Question!

Why do liberals most always have to go to the extreme? Its not about if the world ends, its about preparing to take care of yourself, family and friends... and not counting on someone else to do it for you... I don't need FEMA or the Red Cross to feed me in the case of a natural disaster... Or the END OF THE WORLD .... (grins)

You ever seen a grocery stores before before a predicted Storm? Their shelves are EMPTY!

You do Know that grocery stores only have a supply for about 3 days of normal shopping, before they must be resupplied ? So what happens if the resupply is interrupted? For a day or days? A week or weeks? A month (end of the world concept you speak of) or months (Think Mad Max) ...

You go hungry ...I eat! Why Because I invested in MYSELF ...You counted on others to provide for your survival! Even when you had the means to take care of yourself!

    So ask yourself....

Just what is wrong with Americans being prepared for something unexpected or unpredicted? And you might ask yourself ...Just why you find enjoyment in ridiculing people that are taking action to not be a burden on society? If me and mine do not need help, then others can use those limited resources!

For someone that can provide for their own, and don't...one could say.. they are the greedy ones!

If you can afford Food Insurance and don't get it you IMHO are not holding up your end of the societal bargain... If disaster hits even though you could have been prepared and be able to take care of yourself...you will use resources that could be helping people that couldn't prepare or do for themselves...

Since when in America is wanting to not be a burden and wanting to be self sufficient a BAD THING and something to be ridiculed?

If wanting to Survive makes me a survivalist then call me a survivalist and if Beck telling people to look into Food Insurance to take care of yourself, family and maybe friends makes you crazy...

I would rather be called crazy and eating ...........than sane and starving!

They don't ... except when they choose to go to the extreme... and they are Leftists!!!! As in this case! Those making extremist comments happen to be Leftists... Righties do it too! Just on here today!

However so many on the left do just what happened here... they go to the extreme and not realize there is an in between... its not life as normal or the end of the world !!!! There are so many situations in between!

"HARTFORD, Conn. — A rare October snow storm that caused record-breaking power outages could lead to increased electricity costs in Connecticut, where residents who endured days in the dark and cold already pay higher rates than any other state in the continental United States."

They should be going after the complete Fox Network for airing those commercials in the first place. I feel strongly that any channel you watch on TV should be held responsible for the commercials they allow on their networks. The commercials selling cheap products, scamming people as in this Gold commercial on Fox all receive a large amount of money for airing those commercials, so they need to be held 100% responsible for the content (including commercials) on their network stations.

Beck should be shut down, Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and others for promoting that crap on their programs and stations.

Off with their heads, or 25 year sentences for each of them, and then shut Fox down once and for all.

Beck's commentaries are 3 parts delusional ranting, 2 parts sophistry, and 5 parts self-promotion. He is little more than a political televangelist, propagating baseless fear and hatred of those with whom he disagrees and claiming to be the primary source of economic and ideological salvation.

I seem to have missed the Trial that had Proved the charges?

Will someone please direct me to the specific ruling, made by a Judge or Jury?

I always thought when a State or Federal Prosecutor simply filed charges against someone they had something called a trial.

I also thought in America you were innocent until Proved guilty.

Its kind of amazing just last year (remember) that Congressman (Rep Weiner) and the States Attorney Investigated Goldline and found nothing... Yet Now The City Attorney for Santa Monica was able to do what Congress and The California government was unable to do, find enough evidence to prosecute ...

I'll tell ya all what.... this goes to court in Jan of next year....

I unlike the majority here will withhold my judgement, as I would hope people would do were I charged with a crime... ... Bookmark this Seed and when the case is final... If they are found Guilty will be right back and condemn them for their actions ... And write Beck and tell him that if he doesn't condemn them and cut ties with them... I will cut ties with him...

I wonder how many of you will comeback and admit you were wrong if the case is dismissed or they are acquitted? Or will it just be as so often done by many... If you don't get the ruling you want ... Justice was not served ..the court was fixed... Or any number of other reasons..

I guess we will just have to wait for it to be settled in court not the court of public opinion...

This is and will be my only comment on this subject... I still believe in Innocent until proven guilty...

am listening to an accuser that has come forth with accusations against her. How many more do we need, I wonder.
